Here are some pictures from the CrossFit Maximus Affiliate Gathering this past weekend Teams of four were drawn from a bowl, and competed in a WOD that had to be completed as group. Each team had a 45/33lb barbell, 53/44lb kettle bell, 20/14lb medicine ball, and a 30lb sandbag. Each team had to complete a specific task with their respective piece of equipment, after carrying it during a 400m run. Tasks included KB swings, overhead squats, wall-ball shots, and hill sprints with the sandbag. If any piece of equipment hit the deck during the WOD, each team member had to do 10 burpees.
16:57 started with red band on pull-ups and dips. After 6th round it turned into a rainbow of colors. My does vacation set you back, ripped hands and just praying I don’t have to hold onto anything come Friday’s WOD.

Tried this wod all alone. I even think I started to cry……….shhh, don’t tell anyone!

Yeah. My hands were taped and still found places to rip. Emily killed this workout though. Everytime I looked up, she was starting a new round! I was halfway done when she had two to go. 🙂

My own pullups except for the last five, my hands were all tore up and I couldn’t take the pain. Purple band ring dips.
We need to start shaving and softening our callouses better- there is recommended hand care- I’ll see if I can locate the magic recipe!
I have the recipe…one edge blade and a foot callouses softening…
