U.S. Navy Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician David Blake McLendon, 30, of Thomasville, Georgia, assigned to Naval Special Warfare Group 2 Support Activity in Norfolk, Virginia, was killed September 21, 2010, in a helicopter crash during combat operations in the Zabul province of Afghanistan. McLendon is survived by his wife Kate McLendon, his parents David and Mary-Ann McLendon, his brother Chris McLendon, and his sister Kelly Lockman.

  • Can’t remember my time……….25lb plate…..HSPU are continuing to get more movement. I actually have about 2 consecutive real ones but there is never a wod that calls for just TWO HSPU 🙂

    This was a tough one & those dang HSPU kept me from rxing.

    23:54 I think- with 2 mats, 25#plate & 14# wallballs.

    Who’s not going to be able to walk up the stairs tomorrow…this girl!

    Blake must have knocked everyone on their tails yesterday, or scared them off the site at least!
    Big crowd at 6:30 last night. Great work by all, this one was brutal for me…
    25:00 modified modified modified…. (Except I used the 25# plate).

    3 rounds RX’d. Scaled 4th. Finished up with 50# Turkish Get Ups. Dont know my time, i know its always faster when Im actually at CFNKY and have you guys yelling at me.

    This wod was a combination of all of my weakest exercises, and it showed. 29:43 and modified everything but the wall balls.

    This was a great WOD to come back to! Don’t know my time but had a great time with my 6:30pm peeps 🙂

  • 21-ish for a really tough workout. I modified the HSPUs (on a box), and since the equipment was scarce, I ended up using a 12# wall ball 🙁
    I’ve decided my next triumph is going to be HSPUs – have to just get off the box and make it happen.
