  • I actually learned a little something about myself doing Crossfit in the past week! So, I’m a bit of a control freak (that’s not what I learned-I already knew that) & at Crossfit there’s not a lot I feel have control over…I can’t always lift the weights I’d like to, I can’t do pull ups without a band, my cardio isn’t great etc.

BUT-last week Crossfit taught me that sometimes it feels really great to be a quitter! Yep, that’s right-last Thursday I became a quitter & it actually felt good!

My whole life I’ve been trying to avoid quitting anything, but I decided last Thursday that I was going to quit single unders & never look back.

Does it suck? Yes. Are my times horrific? Yes. Do I feel so much better about these WODs now? YES!

So, thanks for teaching me something new about myself…I can actually like to quit & I can’t wait to be a quitter again with the band for pull ups 🙂

Anyway, my time was about 26 minutes.

  • Kristin – I just want to tell you that I watched you through that WOD and wished I had the guts to be the quitter you are! I made up my mind at the end of that workout that I’m done with single-unders too. I wish I’d decided sooner, but you have to be ready, right? Anyway – great job to you, and thanks for inspiring the rest of us to be quitters!!! I think I’ll join you on quitting the bands real soon too 🙂

  • Be careful on the “quitting SUs”; I only counted DUs yesterday and it about killed me. It does force you to learn though. Unfortunately I am a very slow learner when it comes to coordination. I did manage 10 DUs in a row (pr) and numerous cuss words in between many groups of 1-3 DUs.

  • Kristin, I think you should have a daily blog where you can share all of your crossfit stories with the world! You could call it kristinthequitter.com… 🙂

I have no idea what my time was on this workout because… nobody was paying attention. But somehow I made it through all the DUs with minimal injury (and a couple times did as many as 5 in a row) so I consider it a victory regardless!

    nice job everyone!

  • Randi you were a minute or more before my time…and my time may or may not be correct b/c….no one was paying attention 🙂

  • Kristen I TOLD YOU!!!! I knew you could do it !!! What about those KBs???? I need to adopt your new idea of quitting for my pull-ups and that effing purple band!!! Great job ladies!!

  • Randi-I love the idea of the blog & name, although I’m not quite sure that anyone would want to read what I have to say…lol

Kim-I know you’re almost ready to quit the “Christmas” bands, Toni-the single unders & Lola-the purple band…you got it girls-just do it 🙂

And, Lola-you were right-I did this one Rx’d & even though I never thought I’d make it through those KBs…I did. I have no idea how, though!
