Weighted Pull Ups
I have always seemed to miss this wod in the past- so this was my first time. I wore the vest and added:

Yes, but you must divide it (the 20#) and any extra weight (vest or dumbbell) by 2 since it is actually 2 people participating in the pull-up :).
maybe I’ll just make up last Friday’s WOD since I can hardly do one at my own weight 🙁

I wish I was there to do this one today – I didn’t even have my pull-ups when we did this the last time. Missing you guys…
Somewhere around 41 lbs on the weighted pull-ups. A little confusion this morning with how much the vest weighed, and the little bars, bigger bars, so I just weighed myself w/ and w/o the vest…and the verdict is the bars are 1.5lbs and 2.5lbs.
Toni…I don’t know, I’m just being a pain in the a$$. If I didn’t act that way, I am afraid Bridget would think that I was deathly ill and try and admit me to a hospital (regular or mental).
It is possible that pregnancy results in more blood/ability to carry oxygen. Thus it could increase the amount of work that one’s muscles could perform (kinda like EPO doping/altitude training).
Stacy, I know my vest (orange and black) is 40 pounds total with all of the weights in it (little finger weights). They are approximately 1 pound each. The other vest is supposed to be 45 total (all in) and the weights are 2.5 each.

Managed 80lbs on the weighted pull ups. Was shooting for 60 or higher so I am very happy with the results! Great Job 4:30 crew, always fun.

Mark-Btw the blood increase would require an increase of oxygen at ~50% in order to be as efficient as it used to be & break even…which doesn’t happen. Im actually in worse shape-not better. Thanks for always keeping it entertaining though 🙂
Managed to get 60# with 45# dumbell + 15# vest.
Need to get back with my 4:30 group, great job guys!
