  • 1 rep-max Snatch in 10 min.

    Worked up to the ugliest snatch you’ve ever seen…only managed 135.
    I’m still struggling with physically getting together all of the components and movements that go into a good snatch.

    It goes without saying (but not typing)that I will continue to move forward vigorously with great effort when working on my snatch technique.

    A little back story on the pic today….it is a recreation of the reaction I had when Coach Lucas informed me that donuts are not paleo.

    Btw…the cool down today is by far the most awesome-est cool down ever!
    Pure genius as I see it. 🙂

    snatches are so much harder than one would think. Total coordination is a must along with not disgusting retarded elbows????? no wonder they were hard….

    Yes, snatches are harder than they look.
    There’s nothing more empowering than seeing some beast of a Crossfit chic do these flawlessly. I recall watching these at the regionals last year and the chic Lucas was judging was on fire with these.

  • So, it was my first attempt at snatches. I failed at 65, went back and worked back up by doing 55-60-65 and made it! 🙂

  • Crossfit NKY was the place to be tonight! Both the 4:30 and 5:30 classes were huge. Great to see so many people!
